EP ANNOUNCEMENT

RILEY! Sign to Pure Noise
New EP Arrives July 17

Southern emo trio RILEY! announce To Live and Die In The American South, a five-song EP arriving July 17 through Pure Noise Records.

RILEY! join Pure Noise Records

RILEY! have signed to Pure Noise Records and announced a new EP, To Live and Die In The American South. The five-song release arrives July 17, 2026. The official announcement also introduces the single Climb Aboard the Merry Go Round and follows the band's 2024 album Keep Your Cool.

To Live and Die In The American South tracklist

The EP contains five songs: Land of the Free, Climb Aboard the Merry Go Round, Say a Prayer for You, I Hate Pink Floyd, and Deep in the Heart of Texas.

Southern emo with a specific address

RILEY! describe the project through the tension of growing up in Texas: pride, resentment, home, and departure tangled together. That regional specificity belongs naturally inside the larger Midwest emo conversation. The genre has always traveled beyond the literal Midwest while keeping a close relationship with place.

What to listen for

Start with Climb Aboard the Merry Go Round, then return to the earlier catalog. The useful thread is not a rigid genre checklist. It is the way a band can carry local detail, raw feeling, and technical motion into the same small room.
